All children learn their first language by doing things and listening as adults talk to them. LiteraSci's hands-on science activities bring this language-learning environment into your classroom. As their teachers and classmates talk during hands-on science activities, ELL children learn English naturally as they participate during the activities.

The LiteraSci Science Cycle helps children focus their attention. The Science Cycle structures lessons so children anticipate what comes next. Each of the 4 phases - Reflect and Ask, Plan and Predict, Act and Observe, and Report and Reflect -  engages children in active learning.

Active children need LiteraSci hands-on science activities.  Children build sculptures, follow obstacle courses and take walks to explore their school. They compare the flow rates of water and molasses and use shaving cream to mix secondary colors.

Because LiteraSci hands-on science activities can be done in many ways, you can adapt them to the needs of the children in your class. Children with mobility, language and sensory delays and children with autistic spectrum disorders are successful in LiteraSci classrooms.
