LiteraSci is a full-day early-childhood curriculum. Each day’s lesson takes a science concept as the central activity around which math, language, literacy, and center-based play are integrated. Each day’s activities build on the activities of the previous day and provide a foundation for the next day’s activities. Each of the five modules provides detailed daily lesson plans that integrate all content areas into a coherent, hands-on exploration of an important science topic. There is particular emphasis on developing alphabet, print, and phonological awareness.

The Measurement and Mapping Module is designed to be used at the beginning of the school year, with content that is focused on establishing classroom routines and introducing children to basic concepts in mathematics, graphing and representation that will be used throughout the remaining modules. Each of the other four modules is designed to stand alone.

LiteraSci is especially appropriate for English Language Learners and students with special needs.
