LiteraSci has been used successfully with children who have autism spectrum disorders, as well as those with language, mobility and sensory disorders.
Children respond well to the structured active learning LiteraSci provides. LiteraSci’s strong emphasis on conversation and description helps children learn to communicate.
Lessons provide rich sensory experiences, such as working with colors and textures, and water and ice, thus supporting attention and participation.
Lessons absorb very active children by building obstacle courses, taking walks to explore the neighborhood. Behavior problems are reduced.
The LiteraSci Science Cycle becomes a tool for solving social conflict, with children learning to “reflect and ask”, “plan and predict” a course of action,“act and observe” what happens and then “reflect and report” back to the teacher.
